The Delaney Automotive is family-owned and operated and is proud to have served in this area for over 50 years. We have locations in Greensburg, Indiana, and DuBois. Delaney Chevrolet opened its doors at 626 Water Street on July 19, 1971, but the Chevrolet Dealership has been in business here since 1928, when it was Edwards Motors.
That store was purchased by Ernie Stafford, and in 1963 Jack Delaney became a salesman for Stafford Chevrolet. He then moved to Pittsburgh, where he sold for Baierl Chevrolet in Wexford, PA.
In January of 1971, Jack returned to Indiana and began to manage Stafford Chevrolet while financing was arranged to purchase the dealership. With the help of Motors Holding, a division of GM, the business opened its doors as Delaney Chevrolet, with five employees! Motors Holding was paid off in eighteen months, and the store has grown from there. The Honda Franchise was added in February of 1980, the Buick Franchise in March of 1987, the Hyundai Franchise in August of 2005, and the Subaru Franchise in July 2008. The Honda facility was built in March 2012, the Chevrolet facility was remodeled in October 2013, and the Subaru/Hyundai facility was built in January 2015.
In 1983 Delaney acquired Riehle Chevrolet in Greensburg, PA which became Star Automall. In 1987 they added a Nissan franchise to the Greensburg location. In January 1984, Volvo became part of Star Automall in Greensburg. In 2021, The Star Automall Group changed its name to Delaney Chevrolet Nissan Volvo of Greensburg. Same great people same great customer service.
In December of 2021, we acquired the Arone Body Shop in Homer City.
On June 1st of 2023, the Delaney Automotive expanded into the Dubois area by acquiring the Stoltz family of dealerships. We are proud to have added the Toyota, Hyundai, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram of Dubois to our group. And the story continues…
